Do not open package until ready to use. Do not let children play with collar. This collar is intended for use only as an insecticide. The collar will begin to kill fleas, ticks, and flea eggs and larvae immediately. Its full protection against harder to kill ticks will be built up within a few days after being placed on pet. For continuous protection under normal conditions, replace collar every 7 months. Wetting will not impair the collar’s effectiveness or the pet’s protection. If the cat is out in the rain, it is not necessary to remove the collar. The collar may be worn with a regular collar.

How to Apply:

1. Unroll the collar and stretch to activate insecticide generator.
2. Place the collar around cat’s neck. Adjust for fit, and buckle in place. The collar must be worn loosely to allow for growth of the cat and to permit the collar to move around the neck. A properly fitted collar is one that, when fastened, will snugly slide over the pet’s head.
3. Any excess length of the collar beyond 2-3 inches should be cut off, wrapped in newspaper and placed in the trash.
4. Wash hands after placing collar on cat.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the benefits of using this product?

7 months protection
Kills all flea life stages and ticks
Water resistant

What is the difference between this product and oral flea products?
This product is applied to your pet around the neck and kills fleas through contact with the product on your pet’s skin, so fleas don’t have to bite to die. With oral flea medications, fleas must bite your furry family member and be exposed to the medication in the pet before the fleas are killed.

Can I apply a flea & tick squeeze-on to my cat after I have applied the collar?
No. This will put your pet at risk of an overdose of flea/tick product.

Can you use oral flea & tick medications with this collar?
No. This will put your pet at risk of an overdose of flea/tick product.

How do these products spread over a pet’s body? How long does this take?
The collar uses sustained release technology by releasing the active ingredient at a steady rate for up to 7 months. The cat’s natural oils help to distribute the product through your cat’s skin and coat providing full body protection. It should start working soon after application, but maximum effectiveness may not occur for 2 to 3 weeks after placement.

How does this product work?
This product combines these active ingredients:

Tetrachlorvinphos attacks the flea’s nervous system – paralyzing and ultimately killing it.
S-methoprene is an insect growth regulator (IGR) that prevents flea eggs and larvae from maturing to adults

This combination plays a crucial role in existing infestations, because:

In an existing infestation you might only be aware of the adult fleas, which only represent around 5% of the full infestation and are found on your furry family members.
Immature flea life stages (flea eggs, larvae and pupae) which live in your furry family member’s environment consist of around 95% of the infestation and can be almost invisible to the naked eye.
